Counselling for Children & Young People in Romsey, Southampton & Online

Growing up isn't always easy. Friendships, school pressures, anxiety, family changes and big emotions can sometimes feel like a lot to manage.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a school counsellor in a few different schools, supporting children and young people with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties. So I know that sitting down and talking to someone you've never met can feel a little strange, especially when you're young.

That's why I adapt my approach to suit each child. Some young people love to talk, while others find it easier to express themselves through games, creative activities or practical tools. There's no pressure to know what to say or to talk about anything they're not ready to share. We work at their pace, finding an approach that feels comfortable for them.

What can counselling help with?

I support children and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, friendship difficulties, bullying, school pressures, family changes, grief, confidence and self-esteem difficulties. Sometimes there isn't one particular issue. They might simply be struggling with their emotions or finding it difficult to explain how they're feeling.

Getting started

I offer face-to-face counselling in Romsey and Southampton, as well as online sessions where appropriate.

If you're a parent or carer looking for support for your child, I offer a free 10-minute introductory consultation so we can have a chat about what's going on, answer any questions and see whether I'm the right counsellor for them.

Thank you, Lauren, for helping us get our happy little boy back. After struggling with anxiety for so long, it's been wonderful to see him smiling and enjoying life again.
